Amd has officially launched new dell platforms

AMD has held an event in Rome, in which we have been left with many news. At this event in the Italian capital, the firm leaves us with its new Dell platforms, as well as offers for cloud, HPC and 5G customers with 2nd generation AMD EPYC processors. Senior Vice President and General Manager, AMD Data Center Group and Integrated Solutions, Forrest Norrod and CTO Mark Papermaster have taken the stage with Dell, IBM Cloud, Nokia, ATOS, OVHcloud and TSMC, to highlight the growing adoption of the processor. 2nd generation EPYC and their impressive achievement of over 100 world records.

All of them are already official, as it has been seen in said event. So they do not have too many surprises for us.
New Platforms
These are the novelties presented by the company at the event in Rome:
- Dell EMC has introduced five new EMC PowerEdge servers with 2nd generation AMD EPYC processors, announced yesterday and available immediately. IBM Cloud has highlighted how SEV-ES and PCIe® 4.0 on 2nd generation AMD EPYC processors support the needs of IBM Cloud customers, specifically the benefits of superior memory bandwidth of 2nd generation EPYC for workloads of big data and analysis. Nokia has shared that 2nd generation AMD EPYC processors accelerate Nokia's Cloud Packet Core system, which helps service providers deliver converged broadband, IoT, and machine-type communication services for 5G. In tests, systems with EPYC technology provide an 80% increase in packet performance compared to previous solutions. ATOS, a world leader in digital transformation, has announced how a customer is using 2nd generation AMD EPYC to expand the use of supercomputing for the benefit of French scientific communities. In addition, AMD and ATOS have also exhibited the AMD EPYC 7H12, 64-core / 128-wire liquid-cooled, 280W, designed specifically for HPC customers. OVHcloud has announced a new high-end hosting instance based on the AMD EPYC 7402P processor with full flash storage, available later this year. TSMC has announced its adoption of AMD EPYC, which helps drive its next generation of leading research and process technology.
