With the releases of For Honor and Sniper Elite 4, AMD has wanted to catch up on its Crimson Relive 17.2.1 graphics drivers, which add official support for various titles and performance improvements.

Crimson Relive 17.2.1 with support for For Honor and Sniper Elite 4

With the arrival of these new Crimson Relive controllers, a little extra performance is gained in For Honor, the Ubisoft video game. The performance gain with this video game is 4% with an RX 480. In the case of the Sniper Elite 4, the performance improvement reaches 5% with any red mark graphics. Here are some of the bugs that these new drivers fix.

Bugs fixed with this version of Crimson Relive 17.2.1 Beta:

  • Fixed crash in For Honor when trying to go to fullscreen mode or use multi-gpu settings. Fixed bug in AMD FreeSync with some full screen apps. Critical error that was caused when we wanted to record a game in Dayz no longer occurs with Radeon Relive. Fixed an issue that occurred when the R9 380 graphics card memory suffered a frequency crash. Fixed corrupt textures issue in Civilization VI with HD 7900 graphics.

The new drivers are now available from AMD's support page. We must bear in mind that these drivers are Beta and that the final version should be available in the next few days for download and installation.
