AMD has released the new generation of graphics drivers for its video cards, Crimson ReLive Edition, which come to replace the Crimson Editions that debuted during 2015.

The Radeon and Radeon Pro graphics unified in Crimson ReLive Edition

A few days ago the people of AMD had anticipated some of the news of these new drivers and they are now available to install on your system.

One of the first novelties of Crimson ReLive Edition is that it will serve both normal graphics cards and Radeon Pro, in this way AMD unifies and kills two birds with one stone instead of developing two different drivers for each sector.

Replaces the Crimson Edition drivers

Another of the main innovations from these controllers is the implementation of GPUOpen, a series of advanced visual effects that developers can use for their video games, very similar to NVidia GameWorks. Other technologies are also added, such as Radeon Loom (2K, 4K and 8K images), Open Capture and Analytics Tool (A benchmark tool based on recording and benchmarking videos in one or more applications), Depth of Field (powerful focus tools for realistic kinematics), the new new TressFX 4.0 and Advanced Media Framework 1.4 that comes with AMF H.265 encoding.

AMD's LiquidVR technology also receives a significant improvement by having support for multiGPU configurations. Also debuting a new tool with these controllers that allows us to make recordings of our video games called ReLive, with a minimal impact on performance and that can upload the content generated directly to YouTube or Twitch. From now on, GPU decoding in VP9 (4K at 60 Hz), Dolby Vision, HDR is accelerated and there are major improvements in FreeSync.
