Amd prepares event on May 16 to discuss zen +, vega & navi

Next Tuesday, May 16 is the date set to learn about AMD's plans for the coming years, its new Zen + CPUs, the VEGA architecture and its successor, Navi, which would come out during 2018.

Zen +, VEGA and Navi is the future of AMD

AMD will reveal more information about its upcoming Zen + CPU architecture and upcoming Vega & Navi graphics architectures at the May 16 event. The company is prepared to publicize its entire roadmap for this year and 2018 according to the information revealed by the people of wccftech .

During this event, there will be no product launch, but rather information on the short and long-term plans of what AMD has in store for us. AMD CEO Lisa Su will be on stage along with some of the company's top heads about their plans to dominate Intel and Nvidia in each of their segments.

We know that the next VEGA graphics cards will come out in June, but AMD is already thinking about what is coming, the Navi architecture, which according to the roadmap that we know so far, is expected for 2018 with a new type of memory that would be better than the HBM2 used in VEGA (it is spoken of GDDR6). Navi-based graphics cards would be manufactured at 7nm FinFET.

On the processor side, Zen + is coming in 2018 to update the current Ryzen. The core of these new processors would be called Pinnacle Ridge . It is possible that AMD is providing more details about the improvements that Zen + will bring to the current architecture, as well as Navi to its current GPUs.
