While users anxiously await the arrival of AMD's new Zen microarchitecture, Sunnyvale's continue to launch new products based on the current Steamroller modular microarchitecture, such as the new APU A8-7670K.
The AMD A8-7670K APU consists of a total of two Steamroller modules adding four x86 processing cores at a base frequency of 3.6 GHz amounting to 3.9 GHz in turbo mode. Along with this we find an integrated GPU consisting of 6 CUs adding 384 shader processors with GCN architecture and a frequency of 757 MHz.
AMD claims that this new APU offers superior x86 performance than that offered by the Pentium G3258 and even the Core i3 4160, we also know that its integrated graphics are much more powerful, so the user gets a very balanced product on a tight budget.
Finally they remind us of the benefits of their APUs offering hardware acceleration in video playback, DirectX 12 compatibility, the possibility of using Dual Graphics, hardware acceleration in web browsing and hardware encoding when recording our games.
