Turing graphics cards burst onto the market with some mixed valuations, with a decent performance jump and new technologies like Ray Tracing, but too expensive. The question we asked ourselves is: What will AMD do? Will Navi be able to cope with the new proposal from Nvidia? The answer comes from Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, who says that next year we will see 7nm Radeon graphics cards to compete with Turing in the 'gaming' segment.

AMD CEO Lisa Su commented during Credit Suisse's 22nd Annual Conference on Technology, Media and Telecommunications;
Ray Tracing can wait
It is unclear how AMD plans to compete with Nvidia's high-end Turing graphics cards. What we have heard so far from Navi at 7nm is that it would be a focused graphics card to dethrone the GTX 1080 with similar performance at a lower price. To compete against Turing they will need something more powerful than that, unless they already have it and they have it well kept.
