Amd publishes the specifications of the radeon pro 400
Finally AMD has published the technical specifications of its new graphics cards Radeon Pro 400 that we can find within the recently announced new MacBook Pro and that will surely reach much more computers in the coming months.
The new Radeon Pro 400 are divided into a total of three models to offer an important variety of solutions to manufacturers of portable equipment that decide to implement this new hardware in their machines. The most powerful model is the Radeon Pro 460 which is made up of a total of 16 Compute Units so it has a maximum of 1, 024 stream processors to be able to deliver a maximum power of 1.86 teraflops.
Next we have the Radeon Pro 455 which is cut to 12 Compute Units for a total of 768 stream processors with a maximum theoretical power of 1.3 teraflops. Finally we have the Radeon Pro 450 that has only 10 active Compute Units to add 640 stream processors and offer a power of 1 teraflop. A curious fact is that the three models share the same bandwidth for 80 GB / s memory.
The Radeon Pro 400 is a great effort on the part of AMD to improve the energy efficiency of its GCN architecture and thus be able to offer very powerful portable solutions.
