AMD has just released its new series of SSD drives: AMD Radeon R3 SSD with capacities from 120GB to 960GB and readings up to 520MB / s.
AMD Radeon R3 SSD, high performance at low-end price
The AMD Radeon R3 SSD will arrive in SATA III formats with storage capacities of 120 GB, 250 GB, 512 GB and 960 GB and all of them with a 2.5 ″ physical disk format. Its design with a black body (next to a mosaic) and a model sticker.
Among its technical characteristics we find an excellent Silicon Motion SM2256KX controller and NAND TLC memory technology. With these specifications, the 120GB to 530 MB / s model is capable of reaching a sequential read and write speed from 360 MB / s to 520 MB / s. The 240GB and 480GB models range from 470MB / s to 520MB / s respectively. Finally, the 960 GB model will have a reading speed of 510 MB / s and a writing speed of 450 MB / s.

Availability and price
The AMD Radeon R3 SSD will have prices of 41 euros for the 120gb model, 70 euros for the 240GB model, 137 euros for the 480GB model and the price of the 960GB model is unknown. Its availability is not yet confirmed.
