Amd radeon r9 390 coming soon with 4gb of vram
The launch of AMD Radeon R300 graphics cards left fans of the brand disappointed as the new family is made up entirely of cards based on the same GPUs as those used in the previous generation (s), which is known as a rehash.
The new features were limited to a slightly higher clock frequency and in some cases more memory. In the case of the Radeon R9 390 and 390X, the video memory was increased to 8 GB, something that many users criticized for considering that the GPU cannot take advantage of so much memory and that it is an unethical way to say AMD that they are new and not refried cards.
We now know that Sapphire, XFX and PowerColor are working to offer versions of the Radeon R9 390 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, something that will help lower its asking price and shouldn't hurt card performance.
The new 4GB Radeon R9 390 will arrive factory overclocked to deliver 10% better performance than a Radeon R9 290X.
