The amd radeon r9 380x is coming soon
Rumors of the possible arrival of the fully unlocked AMD Tonga GPU have long been heard, something we did not see with the Radeon R200 series but that we could see very soon with the AMD Radeon R9 380X that could arrive in a week.
It seems that very soon we will see the fully unlocked Tonga chip inside the imminent AMD Radeon R9 380X graphics card and it will add up to a total of 32 CU, which translates to 2, 048 stream processors, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs operating at a frequency of 1070 MHz. All this accompanied by a 256-bit memory interface and 4 GB of 6125 MHz GDDR5 VRAM.
The card should offer performance between the Radeon R9 280X and the Radeon R9 390, quite possibly closer to the Hawaii chip than Thaiti.
