Ryzen 7 1800X outperforms i7 6900K in Sniper Elite 4

The first test in a video game is carried out by the people of PCWorld, pitting the Ryzen 7 1800X against the i7 6900K, the title chosen was the recent Sniper Elite 4.

The Ryzen 7 1800X is an 8-core, 16-wire CPU based on AMD's new Zen micro-architecture. The chip has a clock speed of 3.6GHz and can reach 4.0GHz at full workload. For its part, the Intel Core i7 6900K processor is also a 16-core, 8-core processor, based on Intel's Broadwell-E micro-architecture. The CPU has a basic clock of 3.2GHz and a maximum speed in Turbo of 4.0GHz.

The test used two RX 480 graphics cards in CrossFire along with 16GB of RAM. The Sniper Elite 4 was configured with the highest quality at 4K resolution.

Ryzen also does not disappoint in games

The result is obvious, the Ryzen 1800X manages to beat the Intel proposal reaching an average of 96.6 FPS, while the i7 6900K remains at an average of 90.5 FPS, a difference of 6.7%. The results begin to dispel the doubts that were had regarding the video game performance of Ryzen processors.

Recall that currently the i7 6900K is selling for more than 1, 100 euros, while the Ryzen 7 1800X does it for 569 euros, almost half the price for similar or better performance.
