AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, 1700X and 1700 processors have been in unprecedented demand since reservations were enabled a few days ago, where sales of more than 1 million units have already been secured since launch on March 2 (and continues adding).

AMD Ryzen dominates in price / performance

With all the information we know about Ryzen, we know more or less what to expect but the 3DCenter people have made a graph to know exactly where the Ryzen processors are standing compared to those of Intel, making a comparison of the performance in Cinebench and the price of each one.

AMD wins in all sections

As you can see in the graph, the Ryzen 7 1800X, 1700X, 1700 and even the Ryzen 5 1600X processors totally dominate the proposals of Intel Kaby Lake and Skylake in their respective price and performance ranges, in a superiority as seldom has seen ahead of a launch.

Given the strong demand that Ryzen processors are having, it seems that some retail stores are already beginning to take measures so that Intel chips do not keep collecting dust on their shelves. With up to 300 euros, as would be the case of the i7 6950X and 200 euros in the 6900K, which, judging by the last known test, that discount would fall short.

The AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 processors are expected to arrive over the next three to four months, where the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 1600X will likely shine, estimated to cost between 250 and 300 euros.

We count the days to bring you the first analyzes of Ryzen processors directly from our laboratories. Stay tuned.
