Amd is also preparing a new chipset, amd z490 is on the way
Table of contents:
It is known that Intel has the new Z390 chipset stored in the chamber, what was not known is that AMD has not been left behind, and is also working on the development of a new model, the AMD Z490 that would arrive soon to improve the capabilities of its AM4 platform.
AMD Z490 will have major enhancements to the complex PCIe root
This new AMD Z490 chipset would arrive to solve the biggest drawback of the X470 chipset, PCI Express connectivity, which would be increased from the 8 lanes 2.0 of the X470 to 12 lanes 3.0 of the new proposal. This is important for the installation of M.2 storage devices with the NVMe protocol, which need a large bandwidth to offer their maximum benefits. These extra PCI E lanes could also be leveraged, to add more connectivity options in the form of USB 3.1 and 10 GbE interfaces.

Currently, AM4 socket motherboards have a total of 24 PCI Express 3.0 processor lines, plus 6-8 lanes 2.0 chipset lanes. 16 of the processor lanes are allocated for graphics cards, 4 lanes are used to connect the processor with the chipset, and the remaining 4 lanes feed a 32 Gbps M.2 slot.
The new Z490 chipset overcomes this with a complex PCIe root that is not only 50% wider, but also twice as fast, with PCI-Express gen 3.0. The rest of its feature set appears to be identical to the X470. Nothing has been said about a possible arrival date for this Z490 chipset. It is clear that AMD has put the batteries to overcome one of the most important limitations of its current platform.
Amd ryzen 5 2600e is also on the way with a 45w tdp
ASRock has leaked the existence of the Ryzen 7 2700E and Ryzen 5 2600E 45W in a list of the processors supported by their AM4 motherboards.
Intel would be preparing the h310c chipset with support for windows 7
A few months after Intel temporarily stopped production of its H310 chipset due to various problems, rumors that the company is going to Rumors indicate that the manufacturer Intel will replace its H310 chipset with the H310C, with native support for Windows 7 as a differential factor.
