Amd vega 10 and vega 20 leaked on slides

Table of contents:

Slides have been leaked on the new AMD graphics that would confirm data from the new AMD Vega 10 (and an X2 version) and AMD Vega 20 for next 2018. This is undoubtedly good news, but above all we were surprised that we are going to have an AMD Vega 10 with 2 GPUs. There were rumors but nothing solid to date.

AMD Vega 10 and Vega 20: Features

These new leaks extracted from the following AMD VEGA slides for 2017 and 2018 leaves us with a lot of relevant information. One of the main changes is that we went from 12TFLOPS to 12.5TFLOPS in 32 bits. From the image we can also extract 2 HBM2 stacks.

AMD VEGA 10

The new AMD VEGA 10 graphics will come with a 14nm GFX 9 architecture with 64 CU. The consumption is 225W, which is a little within "the average", but that in principle seems quite a lot.

But the great news, or rather we did not expect, was to have a second graphic with two VEGA 2 GPUs. This will be possible for the second half of 2017. Having 2 GPUs, the number of HBM2 stacks is doubled, being 4 modules. The consumption is 300W, it is already quite high.

AMD VEGA 20

As you can see in the other image, we have the information from VEGA 20. We would have to wait until we see these cards, because they would not do it until the second half of 2018.

As for these new AMD VEGA 20 GPUs we have 7nm 64 CU chips. And everything indicates that we will have new motherboards and new processors, because at the moment there is no processor that supports PCIe 4.9, which is what the connector that we find on the slide is. We also know that it will come with 4 HBM2 16GB and 32GB stacks. The consumption is unknown in this case, but it should not be more than 300W or less than 150 W.

It is good news because we did not expect it. Did you expect to have these leaks by now? What do you think about what we know about AMD Vega 10 and 20 ?
