Android TV is an operating system present on millions of televisions worldwide. Its design has not undergone major changes in recent times. New interface for Android TV

One of the main goals for Android TV is to improve search and controls. On the other hand, it is hoped that changing the interface will make it lighter. This is another aspect that has been trying to improve for a while. Because it is a heavy operating system, which especially in low-end models can run slow. So this would be improved, so that it will consume less memory in said televisions.

On the other hand, it seems that Google's plans are to introduce a view based on tables in the operating system. In this way, it is expected to improve navigation between the various functions in it.

For now there are no dates for the arrival of these changes on Android TV. Work is being done to introduce them this year. So for sure in the coming months we will have more specific details. Although it is clear that the operating system for televisions is going to be completely redesigned in 2019.
