Today we have in our test bench AIO Antec Kuhler H2O K240 liquid cooling, a model that stands out for a very tight selling price, but that does not prevent it from offering excellent features and benefits to its users. In addition, it includes two fans with lighting to provide a better aesthetic.
Do you want to know more about him? Discover all its secrets in our complete analysis in Spanish. Here we go!
First of all, we thank Antec for the trust placed in ceding the product to us for analysis.
Antec Kuhler H2O K240 technical characteristics
Unboxing and design
Antec Kuhler H2O K240 has arrived in a black and blue cardboard box, the corporate tones of the German company. On the front we see a great image of high resolution and high quality of the product, while on the sides and the back all its most important characteristics are detailed.
We open the box and find the Antec Kuhler H2O K240 heatsink covered by a plastic bag to protect its surface, in addition, it is accommodated in a piece of cardboard to prevent it from moving during transport. Antec has taken great care to ensure that it reaches the end user's hands in perfect condition. Next to the heatsink we find the documentation and all the accessories necessary for its assembly, which we will do without the need for tools to make it more comfortable, the brand has thought of everything.

We are already focused on the Antec Kuhler H2O K240, an innovation of this AIO kit is that it integrates the pump in the radiator and not in the CPU block, this may seem silly, but it prevents the processor from being affected by vibrations that the pump can generate when it works. This kit is designed in a unique way to protect your CPU, extending its life and ensuring that you can count on its performance for many years.
The radiator has dimensions of 288mm x 120mm x 27mm, the thickness increases to 50mm once we put the fans on, which is still quite compact to ensure the best compatibility. It is a radiator formed by a multitude of aluminum fins, which are very thin and reach a density of 17 FPI, which translates into a large heat exchange surface, something very important to achieve maximum cooling capacity.
The radiator frame is made of high quality black plastic, all perfectly sealed to prevent evaporation of the coolant inside. The pump is integrated in one of the sides of the radiator, which will be in charge of moving the fluid throughout the heatsink. It is a high-quality ceramic pump, which ensures a useful life of many years. The pump includes a 4-pin connector for the motherboard and a SATA connector for power.
The other important element of the Antec Kuhler H2O K240 is the processor block, much smaller than usual by not including the pump. This block is the one that is placed on top of the processor to absorb the heat generated by it.
The base of the block is made of highly polished copper, ensuring the best contact with the IHS of the processor. Inside the block there is a micro-channel design, or that increases the contact surface with the refrigerant fluid to transmit all possible heat.
The processor block comes with pre-applied thermal paste, making installation of the heatsink as easy as possible. Its mounting system avoids the need for tools, and is compatible with Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066, 775 and AMD AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, FM1, FM2, FM2 +, AM4.
Block power cable detail. Completely necessary for the pump to work 100%.
The radiator and processor block are joined by 350mm corrugated tubes, fully sealed to prevent evaporation of the coolant.
They are tubes with good flexibility, something that facilitates the installation of the heatsink on the PC.
Finally, we see the two fans attached to us by Antec, these include blue lighting to offer better aesthetics, something that is very important today given the large presence of chassis with a window. They are two 120 mm fans, with the ability to rotate at a speed between 800 and 1800 RPM, which means a noise level from 20 dB to 36 dB, a maximum air flow of 73.31 CFM, and a static pressure of 2.25 mm / H2O.
LGA 2066 socket mount
To test the good performance of Antec Kuhler H2O K240 liquid cooling we will use Intel's most enthusiastic platform: X299 along with a 10-core i9-7900X processor. The first thing we must do is install the four screws in the socket as we see in the images.
The next step is to put the metal adapters to the block, this option is quite simple since it is magnetized. We have two adapters one for AMD and one for Intel, we will obviously use the one from Intel. Being that way:
Remember that the block has pre-applied thermal paste and we must not remove it. Now we only have to put the block to the processor, screw in the four screws and connect the fans to the motherboard next to the power supply of the SATA connection.
Do you like the end result? We love!

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with the powerful Intel Core i9-7900X at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a ten-core processor and with high frequencies, temperatures can be high.
In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature? For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe it is one of the best monitoring software that exists today. Without further delay, we leave you the results obtained:
Final words and conclusion about Antec Kuhler H2O K240
The Antec Kuhler H2O K240 is one of the best quality / price compact liquid coolers we have this year. Its 240mm radiator surface, a block that incorporates a very quiet engine, a design outside RGB lighting and great compatibility with platforms from both Intel and AMD, make it a very attractive option.
In our tests we have been able to verify that its performance is excellent. And that has been in front of a fabulous 10-core i9-7900X with Hyper Threading. The results at rest have been 21 ºC, 49 ºC at maximum power and 58 ºC as maximum peak.
The assembly has been simple and that on any platform will not take us more than 15 minutes. We believe Antec has done a very good job with this kit.
In short, we believe that it is not necessary to spend 100 or 130 euros on a liquid cooling kit, with the Antec Kuhler H2O K240 at 65 euros in the main online stores. What do you think of this Low cost option? Do you think the same as us or do you see any downside?
