Antec Kühler H2O 1250
The Antec Khüler 1250 arrives in a very colorful and colorful box. On the sides and on the back we have information about its characteristics and technical specifications. In liquid cooling kit it is very well protected inside: cardboard, plastic sheet and a bag to prevent dust from entering.
The bundle is very complete and consists of:
- Antec H20 1250 Liquid Cooling Kit.Instruction manual and quick guide.CD with drivers. Two fans.Accessories for installation in Intel and AMD.
The Antec Khuler H2O 1250 is a liquid cooling kit consisting of a 280mm radiator and equipped with two 120mm fans. As expected, it is compatible for both the Intel platforms (LGA 775, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011) and AMD) AMD AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, FM1, FM2).
The radiator has a width of 25 mm, enough to have a very good cooling. The fan system is something special, since they are anchored. In the beginning, if we have problems with them, we will have to perform the RMA of the entire product. Antec will surely change the system in higher models for something more standard and customizable.
The tubes are quite thick and the water passes through them quite well. You can see for yourself in this image that they are very flexible and have a great journey.
Like the Antec Khüler 950 they have as a special feature the location of the pump on the radiator. Due to this, the processor block is extremely thin giving a very aesthetic appearance thanks to its self-managing RGB LED by Antec's GRID application.
The block is designed in a block with a mirror effect, as standard it comes with pre-applied thermal paste.
One of the great buts, is the multitude of cables that I must connect to our equipment to make it work (USB connector, Y-cable, fan and pump cable).
Assembly and installation (Intel Socket: LGA 1150/5).
Antec includes two 120mm x 120mm x 25mm fans. Both are self-regulated by the same kit thanks to their PWM system (4-pin plug). They are capable of rotating from 600 to 2400 RPM. The details are very good and its aesthetics makes you fall in love.
4-pin PWM cable.
We are going to install the Antec Kühler 950 on the Intel Z87 platform. For this we are going to take the backplate and stick the two 3M adhesive tapes that it includes.
We place it on the back, as we see in the following image.
We need the next two sets of hardware. The first four are for the backplate and the ones for the bag to hook the block with the backplate.
We position the block on the processor and screw the 4 screws with Intel springs. Be careful, we don't need thermal paste, since the block has a thin layer.
The result should be such that.
In addition, we connect the USB connection and the four-pin fan plug. The end! Installation time: 5 minutes.
Software: Antec Grid
We can install the software from the included installation CD or download it from the official Antec website.
We have three profiles:
- Silent: fan at low revolutions. End: Fan at maximum revolutions. Custom: create our own line (the ideal one).
It allows us to place some revolutions, if it starts once you start windows, the language, the LEDs and see the graph.
And customize the RGB LED according to the temperature of our processor.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the best processors on the market: Intel Haswell i5-4670k with Intel Burn Tests V2. We no longer use Prime95, because it is not a reliable test, as it is outdated software.
WE RECOMMEND YOUInWin SR24, the company's first AIO coolersOur tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work. In stock values and with overclock 4700 mhz at 1.32v. In this way we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, temperatures will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For that test on Intel processors we will use the CPUID HwMonitor application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test of the moment, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The ambient temperature is 25º.
Let's see the results obtained:
Final words and conclusion
The Antec Kühler H20 1250 is a compact liquid cooling kit without the need for maintenance or liquid recharging. Thanks to its two voltage controlled fans and its two 'extra large' pumps we have as a result efficient and silent cooling. Its radiator is 240mm in size, which maximizes the cooling surface area, making it the most cost-effective CPU heat sink on the market.
In our tests we have been able to verify that the performance with an Intel i5-4670K at 4700 mhz is incredible. With a temperature of 30 degrees at rest and 6 1ºC in maximum performance. With stock speeds it barely exceeds 28º at rest and 44ºC in maximum performance.
We can also add that your Antec Grid software, included via CD or web support, is in charge of supervising and controlling the performance of Antec H2O KÜHLER 1250, allowing us to customize its stylish RGB LED. And one more thing, to be able to enjoy this monster of the refrigeration it is necessary as a requirement MS NET Framework 2.0.
In short, if you are looking for a dual radiator liquid cooling kit with excellent performance. The Antec Kûhler 1250 Kit is one of the best solutions on the market, as it incorporates an innovative pump-radiator system that improves water flow and heat dissipation.
