Unboxing and design

Antec P110 Luce is perfectly protected in a large cardboard box, once the box is opened we find the chassis very well accommodated by several pieces of cork and covered with a bag to avoid scratching its surface.

It is presented as a traditional tower with dimensions of 489 x 230 x 518 mm (Length x Width x Depth) so it is a fairly large chassis, while its weight amounts to 11.7 kg. The main reason is the use of high quality materials such as SECC steel with a thickness of 1 mm.

On the main side we find a large high quality tempered glass window, another material that is quite heavy and contributes to this not being a precisely lightweight chassis. As we can see, the window occupies the entire side and looks great (Valida the redundancy with its name, hehe), thanks to it we will be able to see the interior of the equipment perfectly and appreciate the RGB systems that mount most of the components today day. This window is 4 mm thick, so its quality is very high as is its weight.

While the other cover is completely smooth. Little more to highlight than 4 black screws and yellow letters in the shape of "A".

The Antec P110 Luce chassis is committed to a sober but very elegant design, this manufacturer usually moves away from very aggressive and risky designs, since it prefers to offer more aesthetics for all audiences. In the upper left corner we see the logo of the brand that is part of the RGB LED lighting system.

In the upper area we find a magnetic dust filter to protect the fans that we will place in this area. Also in this upper area the panel with the connection ports and buttons has been placed, in total we have two USB 3.0 connectors, the 3.5 mm jack connectors for audio and micro, an HDMI port that will be great for devices such as the HTC Vive and the power and reset buttons.

We also have a removable magnetized filter in the upper area, ideal for quick and safe cleaning.

We go to the rear of the chassis and we do not see big surprises, the area of the power supply is at the bottom because it is the positioning par excellence. In this way we avoid “swallowing” all the heat generated by the equipment. It already makes us a little 'spoiler ”, seeing that we have a 120 mm fan and a total of 8 + 2 expansion slots. Why two vertical slots? This type of distribution allows us to install a graphics card in parallel, to the motherboard as we will see a little later.

Now we look at the base and we see four plastic legs finished in foam, these allow to lift the chassis and improve air circulation in the lower area.

We also see a dust filter that covers the entire lower area.

Interior and assembly

We now go to see the inside of the chassis, to access we only need to remove the eight screws on the sides, we can do it with our hands so there is no complication. The interior of this chassis looks as elegant as the exterior, the manufacturer has done a sensational job on aesthetics. The first thing we see is the installation area of the motherboard, we can put a model with ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX format so that versatility is maximum in this aspect and will adapt to the needs of all users.

We see that the space is very wide, not in vain allows you to install CPU coolers up to 165 mm high and graphics cards up to 39 cm long. Thanks to this we will not have any limitation when assembling a very high-end equipment. In the back it offers us a lot of space to manage the wiring, so Antec P110 Luce will allow us to make a very clean assembly that does not affect the internal air flow of the equipment.

The power supply area has a fairing to better isolate it from the rest of the components, thus preventing the heat generated by the source from affecting the hardware.

On top of the source area we can put two 3.5-inch discs and two 2.5-inch discs.

We highlight that it supports power supplies up to 200 mm, making it compatible with 99% of the models on the market. Behind the motherboard we can mount two additional 2.5-inch discs.

As for the cooling, we can mount up to 3 120 mm fans or 2 140 mm fans in the front, to these are added 2 120/140 mm fans in the upper area, and a 120 mm fan in the upper part. rear to remove hot air.

We highlight that the chassis comes only with the rear fan so we will have to buy the rest. Regarding liquid cooling, it admits 280/360 mm radiators in the front and 240/280 mm radiators in the upper area.
