Starting with its construction material, the Microsoft Lumia 550 is an interesting smartphone for the price it has. However, it was a little left in the details, for example the column located at the back has a quality sound, but it leaves something to be desired when the smartphone is placed on the table because it mutes the sound. As for the issue of having a lot of applications and games on the smartphone, it should be noted that it only comes with 8 GB of internal storage. Thus, expansion via microSD is definitely a necessity, and luckily possible.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 is more than ready to face its direct competition represented by the Moto E, Motorola Moto G and the legion of Chinese mobiles. Because it has a good build quality and already promised a lot in our unboxing video, but in the daily experience it feels more than a decent smartphone, and that it meets all the aspects that are considered important. Windows 10 has been recently released and may have contributed to some defects or bugs that should be corrected in the coming months.

The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G and Bluetooth 4.1 are excellent, although what we really miss is the NFC technology, but we are already asking too much for a really competitive price and hardly to match.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 is packed with features. The star of the show, aside from the price, is undoubtedly Windows 10 Mobile, which gives users plenty of power, with a suite of applications, customization options and improvements.

It is not the most powerful phone on the market and lacks advanced features such as NFC and fingerprint reader, but based on our first impressions it seems that it will be difficult to achieve a better phone for this price, do not you think ?. And if you want a Windows 10 Mobile smartphone this could be one of the cheapest.

The Lumia 550 is already available on the market since last December with a price of approximately 115 euros. This is the cheapest and most compensated Windows Mobile so far, perfect for those looking for economy and simplicity, but still it does not stop possessing great resources.
