The graphics card manufacturer XFX has announced the launch of the new XFX Radeon RX 480 Crimson Edition 8 GB that includes two fans with red lighting to give it a touch "more AMD".

The cooling of the XFX Radeon RX 480 Crimson Edition 8 GB is provided by the advanced Double Dissipation heatsink, which is made up of a dense aluminum fin radiator that is divided into two parts and is crossed by several copper heatpipes that are responsible for absorb the heat generated by the GPU and distribute it throughout the radiator. Heatpipes are attached to a copper base to improve dissipation efficiency. It also has a small heatsink that is responsible for cooling the VRM components and reducing their temperatures by up to 40%. At the rear there is an aluminum backplate to protect the delicate components and provide greater rigidity.

Beneath the heatsink is an AMD Polaris 10 graphics core consisting of a total of 2304 Processors Shaders, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs operating at a maximum frequency of 1288 MHz in turbo mode, a slight overclock compared to the 1266 MHz model reference. The GPU joins a total of 8GB of GDDR5 memory with a 256-bit interface and 256GB / s bandwidth. It is powered by a single 8-pin PCI-Express connector.
