New gigabyte memory 2666mhz modules announced

Table of contents:
Gigabyte has announced the expansion of its DDR4 memory line with the launch of a new dual-channel DDR4 memory kit with a total capacity of 16 GB, which it has simply named “ Gigabyte Memory 2666MHz ”.
Gigabyte Memory 2666MHz, the name says it all about these new memories
These Gigabyte Memory 2666MHz modules lack the Aorus brand that appeared on the company's first DDR4 modules. Instead, you get 32mm tall and 7mm thick modules with a sober design and Gigabyte branding. One area in which the company refined its design is that of heatsinks, which are thicker and have more mass, even lacking fins to increase their surface area.
We recommend reading our post on GDDR5 vs GDDR6: Differences between memories
These new Gigabyte Memory 2666MHz come with 16-16-16-35 attentions, a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts and are compatible with JEDEC and XMP SPD profiles. Platform memory controllers that support DDR4-2666, such as Intel Coffee Lake and later versions, should run at advertised speeds without user intervention. For older platforms, an XMP 2.0 profile helps achieve the advertised configuration. The modules are backed by a lifetime warranty. Intel H370, B360 and H310 chipsets do not allow memory to be overclocked, so for users of these platforms it does not make sense to opt for faster and more expensive memories, as they could not take advantage of them.
It is therefore a fairly basic memory, but sufficient for the needs of a large number of users. The price has not been announced so we will have to wait a bit to see if they are attractive compared to the rest of the models available on the market.
