To liven up the week we bring you the analysis of one of the best quality / price monitors on the market: AOC G2460VQ6 with 24 inches, AMD FreeSync, a response time of 1 ms, frequency of 75 Hz and Anti-Blue Light technology.

Heats up some popcorn that we start with his review in Spanish.

We appreciate the trust and the transfer of the product by AOC:

AOC G2460VQ6 Technical Specifications

Many of you will wonder what resolution you have or what is the best. The standard is the 1920 × 1080 also known as FULL HD, then we move on to the 2K screens: 2560 × 1440 and the last ones as the 4K 3840 x 2160.

This time we stayed in the most purchased resolution to date: Full HD. Where any user can enjoy high definition and in this case take advantage of all the gamer features of this monitor.

Unboxing and design

AOC presents the product in a box with a very compact and very heavy format so that the home setting is perfect. On its cover we come across an image of the monitor seen from the front, in large letters the AOC G2460VQ6 model and all its certifications. While on the back we have a replica of all the information on its cover.

Once we open the box we find the following inside:

  • AOC G2460VQ6 monitor. Power cord. Support CD.

The AOC G2460VQ6 is the minimum level a 24-inch monitor with a 1920 x 1080 pixel 16: 9 resolution can achieve. Going a little deeper into its technical characteristics we come across a refresh rate of 75 Hz and a response time of 1 ms, ideal for the most demanding users and thus avoid INPUT LAG.

How tall is this new monitor? Among its physical dimensions we have 565.4 x 411.6.4 x 219.3 mm and a weight of 4.27 kg. Whereas if you want to use a VESA 100 x 100 mount on an articulating arm, in this case we reduce only the screen size to 531.36 x 298.89 mm.

Speaking of more technical characteristics, it is time to comment that it incorporates a TN (WLED) panel with a maximum brightness of 250 cd / m and a contrast ratio of 1000: 1. Some characteristics that leave us something bittersweet, since they could be improved.

The viewing angles of the monitor are not impressive as it incorporates a TN panel. Although we have great benefits as we do not have light leaks and blacks are outstanding. Although it does not have an IPS panel, we recommend that you calibrate the monitor via hardware, but if you cannot afford a calibrator, you can always try it via software.

Among its rear connections we have an HDMI connection, a DisplayPort 1.2 and another D-SUB (VGA of a lifetime). As expected we have a plug for power supply and commissioning.

AOC has chosen to leave the power supply internally. We would have liked to see an external one because in this way we prevent the panel and all the internal PCB from overheating.

As we have already advanced in the introduction, the monitor incorporates AMD Free-Sync technology: Its operation is quite simple since it allows scenes to be faster, smoother and more pleasant when we are playing. Do we really notice it when we play at peak performance?

In short, the AMD Free-Sync technology is to synchronize the refresh rate of the screen with the AMD graphics card of your computer, eliminating the tearing effect, minimizing jerks and delay in entry. Like all monitors of the Gaming series or of a certain quality, it incorporates technology to protect us from ultra-reduced blue light.

OSD menu

Its OSD menu is fast and intuitive. We manage everything from the buttons on the bottom frame of the screen and with them it allows us to configure any monitor value: color tones, contrast, brightness, sRGB colors, profiles and frequency in Hz.

Experience and conclusion about AOC G2460VQ6

The AOC G2460VQ6 monitor is released as one of the quality-price options for less than 170 euros for the most enthusiastic gamers . Designed for e-sports and high-demand gamers: TN panel with a 75 Hz refresh rate, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with 1 ms as response time and a variety of rear connections.

We recommend reading the best monitors on the market

In our tests we really liked its performance with an AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56 and it is that as expected it moves everything in ultra. Although at the graphic design level we did not like its performance as much when carrying a TN panel, we believe that with an IPS panel it would have much more pull to the gamer public .

Currently we can find it in online stores for a price of 164 euros with immediate availability. Is it really worth it? Of course! Although we do not recommend its use for graphic design, only for players.
