AOC unveils its Ultrawide 34-inch AG353UCG monitor
The new AOC monitor is of the 34-inch Ultrawide type and surprises with a refresh rate of 200Hz.
In addition to the high resolution and refresh rate of this display, the AGON AG353UCG is compliant with the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 specification and uses a high-quality VA panel. With this certification, the HDR looks spectacular and with the best quality. Furthermore, the monitor is said to also cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, which is no small feat for a modern gaming monitor.
The monitor features a 512-zone FALD (Full Array Local Dimming) backlight, and AOC is expected to release a version of this same monitor, but Freesync 2 compatible.

The resolution of 3440 × 1440 pixels and a frequency of 200 Hz comes at a cost, this refresh rate is achieved at the cost of lower color accuracy, either by reducing the 10-bit color display to 8-bit color or by using the chroma subsampling. With 10-bit color and 4: 4: 4: 4 chroma, the AGON AG353UCG can operate at up to 144Hz using DisplayPort 1.4. HDMI 2.0 also supports lower refresh rates.
Right now, AOC's 34-inch AG353UCG monitor is available for pre-order from Overclockers UK for £ 1, 999. The monitor is currently scheduled to be released in June, but in limited quantities.
