Gigabyte wants to expand its catalog of high-end graphics cards from the hand of its Gaming Aorus brand. For this, it has announced the new Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Edition 8G that mounts an advanced heatsink in which copper abounds to improve its cooling capacity.

The Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Edition 8G uses an advanced cooling system made up of an aluminum radiator that adds a large copper surface and several heatpipes of the same material to improve the heat dissipation capacity generated during card operation. On top are three 100 mm fans that are responsible for generating the air flow necessary to keep temperatures under control.

With these features the Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Edition 8G is capable of operating at overclocked frequencies as standard, the Pascal GP104 core reaches 1784 MHz base and 1936 MHz turbo 1784 MHz base and 1936 MHz turbo while 8 GB of GDDR5X memory run at 10, 400 MHz with a 256-bit bandwidth. The card has several video outputs in the form of three DisplayPort 1.4, DVI-D and an HDMI 2.0b to suit all users. Thinking of virtual reality, two additional HDMI connectors have been installed on the opposite side to take them to the front of the PC chassis.
