AORUS RGB adds two new kits with AORUS Memory Boost
AORUS Memory Boost is a feature exclusive to GIGABYTE and AORUS brand motherboards that require a BIOS update for use.
AORUS Memory Boost is a combination of clock speed and timing that is somewhat above the Intel XMP profile. For example, the memory kits debuting today with this feature feature an XMP 2.0 profile for DDR4-3600. Clicking on AORUS Memory Boost runs on DDR4-3733, essentially turning it into an additional memory profile that is unique to GIGABYTE motherboards.
The AORUS RGB memory kits debuting in the catalog are models GP-AR36C18S8K2HU416R and GP-AR36C18S8K2HU416RD. The first is a 2x 8GB (16GB) dual-channel memory kit, while the second is 2x 8GB (16GB) with two dummy modules. These dummy modules fill the empty DIMM slots, but they have no function really, they are there to improve overall aesthetics, rather than having to spend on 'real' modules to fill the DIMM gaps.

These kits work on DDR4-2667 with 19-19-19-19-43 on Intel processors and 19-19-19-19-43 on AMD processors. The included XMP DDR4-3600 profile has timings of 18-19-19-19-39. GIGABYTE did not mention how AORUS Memory Boost affects timing. The module voltage is 1.2 V, and the XMP profile marks it up to 1.35 V. At the moment, the company did not disclose the prices for these modules. We will keep you informed.
