After less than a year, Apple decided to renew its range of MacBooks and iMac computers / laptops with new processors and improvements.

In this post we are going to present you all the news that Apple has decided to bring to its device catalog.

New MacBook 2017

MacBook Pro 2017, same design, better components

At the World Wide Developers Conference 2017, Apple representatives have announced performance improvements for the entire range of company laptops. These look exactly the same as the equipment already on sale, but have internal improvements.

Every MacBook and MacBook Pro you will buy from now on will use a seventh generation Intel Core i processor from the Kaby Lake family. Depending on your budget, small MacBooks can be purchased with an Intel Core i7 at 1.3GHz and a Turbo Boost frequency of up to 3.6GHz.

The SSD drives present in the MacBook will be twice as fast and will have double storage capacities.

Aside from the new MacBook Pro with faster Kaby Lake processors and SSDs, Apple also announced a new 13-inch MacBook Pro without the TouchBar. This will have a price that will start from 1150 euros.

Depending on the budget, you can choose an Intel Core i7 up to 4GHz, while the screen used by this laptop will have a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

In the case of the new 15-inch MacBook Pro, you can choose Intel Core i7 processors between 3.1GHz and 4.1GHz, whose prices start at 2200 euros.

New iMac Pro

The iMac Pro is the new Mac from the American company, and apparently it is the most powerful equipment ever made by Apple to date.

Mac enthusiasts are typically those users with very large budgets who make a living in fields like video editing, design, architecture, and more. Although these users have been ignored by Apple in recent years, at WWDC 2017 they finally received some attention.

The new iMac Pro costs a fortune, but before delving into this detail, it must be said that this 27-inch All-In-One can be purchased with two Intel Xeon processors with up to 18 physical processing cores.

On the graphics side, this system will use the latest AMD Radeon Vega graphics card with enormous bandwidth. This card will be able to process approximately 22 teraflops of data in certain situations.

Depending on the budget, you can choose a storage space of up to 4TB in high speed SSD format. At the rear, apart from the 10Gbit Ethernet port - a first for an Apple team - the iMac Pro also incorporates four Thunderbolt 3 ports.

The screen of the new iMac Pro is a 27-inch Retina Display with native 5K resolution, while the cooling system was thought from scratch, unlike what happened with the standard 27-inch iMac that is now in stores.

This All-in-one system is intended for professional users who require a lot of processing power, and there is even support for virtual reality.

The new Apple iMac Pro will be available from December this year with a base price of 4, 500 euros, depending on the configuration chosen.

As a separate note, Apple also mentioned that this iMac Pro does not replace the Mac Pro, and that a new model of the Mac Pro will be announced in the near future.
