Apple would be working on a 6-core soc
It seems that Apple wants to give a good boost to the performance of its processors for mobile devices, for this a first step was to redo the services of Jim Keller, the legendary CPU architect who has been working with AMD Zen and who has left Sunnyvale's company to join those of the bitten apple.
After taking Keller, Apple would already be planning an A10 processor consisting of six CPU processing cores, a spectacular leap forward compared to the two cores of the current A9 that we find in the iPhone 6S.
A rumor that if confirmed would mean a change in trend at Apple, they have always opted for a design with few cores but very powerful. This accompanied by software with enviable optimization that has made the iPhone authentic jewels of performance and fluidity. Apple's new chip could be made in 14nm or 10nm by TSMC, Samsung, and even Intel.
