Apple releases ios 12.2 third public beta

Yesterday afternoon and at the usual time, Apple released the third beta of the next iOS 12.2 update for those users enrolled in the company's public beta program. This preview release comes a day after the release of the third developer beta, and two weeks after the release of the second public beta.

Users enrolled in Apple's public beta program (which also gives prerelease versions of tvOS and macOS) have already started receiving the third beta of iOS 12.2. which, after installing the corresponding certificate, can be downloaded and installed on any compatible iPhone or iPad via OTA.

IOS 12.2 update expands Apple News to Canada for the first time, giving iPhone and iPad users access to news in both English and French - At the same time, support for AirPlay 2 and Homekit is introduced on third-party TVs, a feature announced in early January.

The television remote control function in the Control Center has been redesigned to occupy the entire screen of the iPhone (with more adjustments introduced in the third beta), while the interface of the Wallet app has been refined and a new image for Apple Pay Cash.

Some changes have also been introduced in Safari with warnings about unsafe websites, or an option to set the application downtime to one day, among others. The privacy of Safari in iOS 12.2 continues to improve through a new option related to "movement and orientation" located in Settings → Safari → Privacy and security, which is disabled by default. The setting must be enabled to allow websites to display content that is based on accelerometer and gyroscope motion data on iPhone and iPad.

Also included are new Animoji (wild boar, shark, giraffe and owl) that can be used within Messages and FaceTime, the Apple News logo has been changed, the group conversation error has been corrected in FaceTime and this option is enabled again to beta users.
