Apple today released a new 12-inch MacBook Retina with Skylake processors, increased performance, and a new color: Rose Gold.

The new components also allowed Apple to extend the autonomy of the device for one hour compared to the previous model. The revamped version retains the same ultra-slim chassis, the same edge-to-edge keyboard, and the same design with a single USB-C port as the original MacBook Retina released about a year ago.

The new MacBook Retina will have a starting price identical to the previous one, specifically $ 1, 299 / 1, 499 euros.

The new update in the MacBook range also means that Apple is now offering its laptop in the same finishes as iOS devices: gold, silver, space gray and, for the first time, rose gold.

For the 13-inch MacBook Air, Apple has also implemented 8GB of memory in all serial configurations.

The new MacBooks include 6th generation Intel Core M processors with clock rates of 1.1 GHz and 1.2 GHz. According to Apple, the new graphics are up to 25% faster than the previous generation.

The USB-C port looks identical and does not have Thunderbolt 3 support, as was rumored in the past. Also, the MacBook will be available in two configurations. For 1, 299 dollars / 1, 449 euros you can get a MacBook Retina with a 1.1 GHz processor, 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.

The most expensive model, which will sell for $ 1, 599 / 1, 799 euros, brings a faster processor (1.2 GHz) and 512 GB of flash memory.

Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said the new MacBook Retina represents the "vision for the future of notebooks."
