Apple has made available to all users a new security update for macOS High Sierra. This new update of the operating system for Mac (2018-001) corresponds to 10.13.4, and comes almost a month after the first version of macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 was officially released, that is, we continue in the same version of macOS, but now improved with this security update.
The new security update for macOS High Sierra can be downloaded from yesterday afternoon completely free of charge and directly from the Mac App Store (the application store available on all Mac computers that are already running macOS High Sierra) through software update function.
According to the notes accompanying this version released by Apple, the 2018-001 security update is recommended for all users and is intended to improve macOS security. The update addresses two security vulnerabilities related to Crash Reporter and LinkPresentation, both of which can be used maliciously to gain access to a Mac. An update to Safari 11.1 is also included, with fixes for WebKit vulnerabilities.
