Apple launches new page on data and privacy

Apple has launched a new page within its website called Data and Privacy, which includes an option that allows all company users to download all the data associated with their Apple ID that the company keeps stored on its servers.

On the next screen, users can proceed to download our which include the purchase and application history, calendars, reminders, photos and documents stored in iCloud, Apple Music and Game Center, marketing history, AppleCare support history, etc.

This data download option arrives shortly before the deadline established by the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679) and is currently limited to Apple accounts registered in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, although Apple says it will launch the service worldwide "in the coming months."
