ASRock has unveiled its DeskMini A300 mini PCs that use AMD Ryzen processors with integrated graphics. This is the world's first Mini STX platform that supports AMD Ryzen CPUs.

ASRock DeskMini A300 is presented with AMD support

ASRock's DeskMini A300 systems are based on AMD's A300 chipset and are compatible with AMD's APU AM4 processors, including those Athlon- branded Raven Ridge chips, as well as Bristol Ridge A-series processors up to 65 W TDP. Note that these platforms come without a CPU cooler, which must be purchased separately (cooling systems up to 46mm in height are supported).

The DeskMini A300s are equipped with two DDR4 SO-DIMMM slots that support up to 32GB of DDR4-2400 or DDR4-2933 memory depending on the APU used (Ryzen or A series). As for storage, the DeskMini A300 has two M.2-2280 slots for SSDs (PCIe 3.0 x4 and x2 / x4), as well as two 2.5-inch bays for SATA SSDs or hard drives.

Unlike some of ASRock's Intel-based DeskMini systems, the A300 does not support the installation of a graphics card in the MXM form factor, so it relies solely on iGPUs. Speaking of graphics, it is necessary to note that the A300 supports three display outputs (DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, D-Sub).

As for general connectivity, it has a GbE (controlled by the RealtekRTL8111H ports), USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and Type-C, a USB 2.0 Type-A connector, an M.2-2230 slot for a Wi-Fi module. Fi + Bluetooth and different audio connectors, etc.

ASRock hasn't announced anything about pricing for the DeskMini A300 series, but considering that they are powered by AMD's entry-level A300 chipset and even come without a CPU cooler, it stands to reason that they will be very reasonably priced.
