ASRock is taking its first steps in the world of graphics cards and takes advantage of the official launch of the RX 5500 XT to present its own 8GB model of VRAM, the RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC.

ASRock RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming

The company is releasing its own variant of the new AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. This is called the RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC, which is presented with a very attractive design.

The GPU is the Navi 14 XTX with 1408 RDNA cores, which comes with a base speed of 1685 MHz and increases to 1845 MHz. The gaming clock speed is 1737 MHz, which is slightly higher than the reference model speed.. As expected from a model with 8G in its name, it contains 8GB of GDDR6 memory, which is connected to the GPU via a 128-bit memory interface.

As you would expect from the latest AMD graphics cards, this one also runs on the new PCI-Express 4.0 interface. It is powered by an 8-pin PCI-Express power connector and has three DisplayPort 1.4 ports along with an HDMI 2.0b port for display outputs.

For cooling ASRock has installed a dual fan unit on the board. The heatsink extends a bit beyond the card, which, along with the black backplate with red and white accents, should create a sleek yet stunning look on a chassis. To keep things quiet, the fans stop when there is little GPU work, and it also comes with ASRock RGB Polychrome Sync lighting.

As we speak, ASRock hasn't released any pricing or availability information yet, but we suspect we'll soon see the card on the shelves priced at around $ 199. We will keep you informed.
