Again we have before us a new motherboard for the Intel Skylake platform (LGA 1551) from ASRock, one of the manufacturers with the best value for money, which is below the ASRock Z170 Extreme7 that we saw a few days ago.. We are talking about the ASRock Z170 Extreme4.
The ASRock Z170 Extreme4 comes with an LGA 1151 socket and a Z170 chipset to support Intel Skylake processors. Surrounding the socket we find four DDR4 DIMM slots that support a maximum of 64 GB of DDR4-3, 400 MHz memory in dual chanel. A robust 10-phase VRM power supply is responsible for supplying the power and stability necessary for the operation of the processor, the power is provided through a 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin EPS.
Its specifications are completed by two PCI-Express 3.0 x16, one PCI-Express x16 with x4 electrical operation, three PCI-Express x1, three SATA-Express 16 Gb / s, one M.2 (32 Gb / s), six SATA III 6 Gb / s, one USB 3.1 Type-C, one USB 3.1 Type-A, four USB 3.0 on the rear panel, two internal USB 3.0 connectors, 115 dBA SNR audio with separate PCB section and Intel Gigabit Ethernet interface.
