A few images have appeared of the new ASRock Z270 Extreme4 motherboard, the manufacturer's new mid-range solution for hosting the new generation of Intel Kaby Lake processors for the LGA 1151 socket.
ASRock Z270 Extreme4 features
The ASRock Z270 Extreme4 makes use of an advanced Intel Z270 chipset with support for the most advanced technologies such as Intel Optane 3D. The board is built with an ATX form factor and takes power via a 24-pin connector and an 8-pin EPS connector, all in the service of its robust 12-phase power VRM that will provide excellent electrical stability.

Surrounding the socket we find four DDR4 DIMM slots with support for a maximum of 64 GB of memory in dual channel configuration, we also find two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot with x4 electrical configuration. With this we can configure a multi-GPU system with great performance for the most demanding video games. We continue with three PCIe 3.0 x1 ports for expansion cards, eight SATA III 6 Gb / s ports, two M.2 32 Gb / s slots, D-Sub video outputs , DVI and HDMI, eight-channel audi HD, Gigabit Ethernet network and 8 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 3.1 ports (Type-A and Type-C).
