Ubisoft released the new update 1.03 for Assassin's Creed Origins with the intention of improving the performance of a video game that has shown serious problems even on the most powerful teams. This is excellent news in principle, what happens is that AMD graphics card users have been forgotten and the game performs even worse than before.

Assassin's Creed Origins still not getting along with AMD

We already told you that Ubisoft had released a new patch for Assassin's Creed Origins, now we know that this new update is great for Nvidia graphics cards with a performance improvement that reaches 10-15%, which is not bad at all for a game that was released a few days ago.

The bad news is that AMD card users have been forgotten and the game not only does not improve but even performs worse than before. The initial performance data for the game with the Radeon RX Vega 64 was as follows:

  • 1080p medium: 66.5 fps1080p ultra: 55.9 fps1440p ultra: 52.0 fps4K ultra: 34.7 fps

After the new 1.03 update the performance is almost identical but has decreased by 1-2 FPS:

  • 1080p medium: 64.91080p ultra: 55.31440p ultra: 51.64K ultra: 33.9

Of course we are talking about a performance difference so small that it is not considerable and it may be because the conditions are never exactly the same in two different games. The important thing is that there have been cases of forced closings of the game after running for about 15 minutes so it seems clear that this new update for Assassin's Creed Origins is not without problems and it is expected that Ubisoft will release a new patch very soon.

Assassin's Creed Origins has already been the subject of several controversies since its release, for example its double DRM that wreaks havoc on the processor.
