ASUS today announced the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300, a router that brings several major improvements compared to the company's standard AC5300 model.

ASUS Introduces ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 Gaming Router

The new Rapture GT-AC5300 comes with an updated processor, which now has four cores running at 1.8GHz compared to the standard AC5300's dual-core 1.4GHz processor. This will allow the Rapture to complete processing tasks faster, in addition to being able to better handle more USB and Ethernet ports. This router also has twice the RAM of the AC5300.

On the other hand, like the ASUS AC5300, the Rapture is designed to provide an unbeatable experience in wireless connections, since it not only has one but two 5G wireless networks and with higher speeds for wireless transfers compared to Other routers thanks to Broadcom's NitroQAM technology, which enables transfers of up to 2167Mbps on 5G networks and up to 1000 Mbps on 2G networks.

Compared to the standard ASUS AC5300, the ROG Rapture offers twice as many Ethernet and USB ports, allowing you to supply the internet with a much larger home. Gamers will also be able to take advantage of dedicated gaming ports to prioritize traffic from connected devices with minimal latency, which in combination with Game Mode can dramatically improve your online games.

Also, if you are a heavy gamer you can use the ASUS “ Game Boost ” function to prioritize the traffic created by the games, thus reducing Ping time and having the best possible experience.

Finally, and as ASUS has already accustomed us, the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 will also have support for the ASUS ROG Gaming Center application, which will allow you to monitor network traffic in real time, share WiFi or even update the firmware of the router.

The ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 will go on sale soon with a preview of 399.99 euros, about 50 euros more than the standard ASUS AC5300.
