Asus Crosshair VI Extreme

Until now the Asus Crosshair VI Extreme has only been the subject of rumors but finally we already know that it is totally real for the AMD AM4 platform. The latter means that it is not a motherboard for the expected Threadripper platform that uses a completely different socket and with LGA configuration. The board includes four DDR4 DIMM slots and has been running on a liquid cooling circuit alongside what appears to be a GTX 1080 Ti Strix.

The Asus Crosshair VI Extreme is built with an E-ATX form factor and a very different component layout from the X370 Crosshair VI Hero in every way, including the fan connectors, RGB connectors, and all other components. The board is powered by a 24-pin connector.
