Asus rampage v extreme
We already have the first images of the new Asus Rampage V Extreme motherboard with X99 chipset. As we already know it will be compatible with the new Haswell-E processors: i7-5820K and i7-5930K six-core and the i7-5860X 8-core.
Its design reminds us a lot of the Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition only this time it uses ROG colors: Red and black. It will have 8 DDR4 DIMMs supporting up to 64GB. Dissipation is 100% passive, meaning the annoying fan no longer appears on the south bridge. It will also feature a 24-pin ATX connector, auxiliary 8 + 4 EP and the ASUS Overclock panel.
It will have 4 SLOTS PCI Express at x16, one PCI Express 2.0 and another PCI Express at x1. Regarding storage, it will have 10 SATA 6.0 Gb / s connections, 2 SATA Express and M.2 connection.
At last! It will include a dedicated sound card such as the Supreme FX 2014, USB 3.0 connection . internal and the new Asus 3 × 3 Wifi connection.
Finally we see the rear connectors that will be made up of: ROG buttons: clear cmos and activation of ROG Connection. USB 2.0, PS2 connection, 10 USB 3.0 connectors, 1 network card, 3 wireless antennas and sound cards with gold plated connectors.
Its price is an unknown but surely we will find it between 400 and 420 €.
