All companies are revamping their pre-assembled equipment with the new Intel Kaby Lake processor upgrade. Asus has just announced the complete overhaul of the Asus ROG GR8 II with an Intel Core i5-7400 processor or i7-7700 and one of the best graphics cards on the market, the GTX 1060.

Asus ROG GR8 II with an i7-7700

The new Asus ROG GR8 II is a high-end device with a super compact size. It has dimensions of 88 x 299 x 281.3mm and a weight of 4 kg. In its renovation it is commanded with the new Kaby Lake processors. The first and cheapest version has Intel Core i5-7400 3.5 GHz version, 6 MB of L3 cache and 65W of TDP. While in the most powerful version it has an i7-7700 with a frequency of 3.6 GHz base and that goes up to 4.2 GHz, 8 MB of L3 and 65W of consumption.

It can incorporate from 8 to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, an Asus H110 motherboard and a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 3GB of GDDR5 memory enough to play at full capacity in 1920 x 1080 resolution. Although we miss a version with a GTX 1060 6GB, since with it we could play more fluidly in 2560 x 1440p and with greater solvency with virtual glasses like the HTC Vive.

As storage it has a 128 GB SSD disk that is complemented by a 1TB hard disk to store all your information and heavier games. Nor could its Aura Sync technology be missing, which allows us to personalize our ROG system with 16.8 million colors and numerous effects (keyboard, mouse, graphics card…).

Among its connections it has Wifi 802.11AC, Bluetooth 4.2, an Intel Gigabit network card, two HDMI connections, a DisplayPort, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 in both type A and type C.
