As usual for the brand, the Asus ROG Strix Impact and Asus P503 ROG Pugio mice are offered in cardboard boxes with a design based on the corporate colors of the Asus ROG series, that is, black and red.

The printing of both boxes of excellent quality, denoting the care that the manufacturer puts in each of the products that it puts on sale. The boxes detail all its most important specifications on the back.

Once we open the boxes, we find both mice perfectly accommodated and protected, to avoid suffering any type of mishap during transport. Asus always pays close attention to these kinds of details. Along with them we find the documentation and some stickers.

First of all, we look at the Asus ROG Strix Impact mouse, this is a model that seeks to be simple, but at the same time wants to offer very good benefits. It is made of black plastic and reaches dimensions of 115 x 62 x 39 mm together with a weight of 91 grams without the cable. It is a fairly small and very light mouse, which will make it very agile when moving around in games that require fast movements such as shooters.

Asus ROG Strix Impact has the two main buttons formed by two independent plastic pieces between them and from the rest of the chassis, this allows a superior response when pressing them. Under them have been placed Japanese OMRON switches of the best quality, these guarantee no less than 50 million keystrokes, so we will have a mouse for years.

We now turn to look at the Asus P503 ROG Pugio, a mouse of a higher range than the previous model so there is much more to comment.

The first thing we highlight is that the sensor is still optical but makes the leap to a maximum sensitivity of 7, 200 DPI, a sampling rate of 150 IPS and an acceleration of 30G.

This mouse is still made of high-quality black plastic, its dimensions are up to 120 x 68 x 37 mm and the weight without cable is 103 grams. It is a larger mouse that will adapt better to the larger hands than the previous one.

Asus P503 ROG Pugio also mounts OMRON switches of the best quality with a guaranteed useful life of 50 million keystrokes, Asus attaches us a set of additional mechanisms so that we can change them when those with the mouse are worn, thanks to this the Mouse will last us many years and we can even change them again if we buy new mechanisms separately.

It is compatible with OMRON D2F, D2F-F, D2F-01, D2F-01F, D2FC-3M, D2FC-F-7N, D2FC-F-7N (10M), D2FC-F-7N (20M) and D2FC-FK (50M). The Asus P503 ROG Pugio mouse has a design of several configurable buttons on both sides, this allows to provide a truly ambidextrous and ergonomic product.

This makes it the mouse on the market that can best be adapted to the needs and tastes of all users. These side buttons also mount OMRON switches and have a firm, firm feel, demonstrating their high build quality.

The Asus Aura Sync RGB lighting system is present in three different zones, offering an almost infinite spectrum of colors, in addition to the ability to synchronize effects with the other products that implement it.

We have a section that allows us to install a total of three profiles, which allows us to modify: buttons, mouse performance (PPP, angle correction, polling rate, acceleration and response of the buttons.

We can use the mouse without installing the application, but to get all the performance, it is recommended to have it active in our operating system.

It also allows us to modify the lighting (in the Pugio 504 it is incredible), perform a more extensive calibration, create custom macros, synchronize the lighting with our motherboard or ROG graphics card and take extensive control of our statistics with the mouse.

Final words and conclusion about Asus ROG Strix Impact and Asus P503 ROG Pugio

During the analysis we have been able to see how well a mid-range mouse and a high-end mouse perform . Obviously the differences are somewhat noticeable in ergonomics, precision and programmable button numbers. It seems to us that Asus is doing a good job in both ranges and the P503 has nothing to envy to the best mice that exist today.

We believe that the only but of the Asus Strix Impact is the absence of the side buttons that are so useful today. Otherwise it has the two ingredients to succeed: QUALITY and PRICE. While the Asus P503 ROG Pugio we see it perfect and 100% recommended.

We also really liked the XXL size ROG Scabbard mat (90 cm wide) and scratch resistant surface. It is ideal to put our peripherals. Our prints have been very good thanks to its fabric surface and how comfortable it is to install.

ROG Armory software offers a wide variety of configuration options at technical, lighting and statistical levels. It is currently available in online stores!
