ASUS has announced this CES the renewal of its line of Zephyrus laptops with a new model, the high-end ROG Zephyrus S GX701. Let's see it.

New ROG Zephyrus S GX701 debuts with high-end components

We start by talking about the CPU, the well-known Intel Core i7-8750H with 6 cores and 12 threads and a turbo speed of 4.1GHz. This will be accompanied by NVIDIA RTX graphics cards up to the RTX 2080 Max-Q, with all the benefits of the new generation including ray tracing and GDDR6 memory. The RAM will go up to 24GB DDR4 and for storage it is betting on M.2 NVMe SSDs of up to 1TB of capacity.

As for the design, we have a 17-inch screen with some really interesting ultra-thin frames. The panel works at Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz and NVIDIA G-Sync and Optimus technology that will allow us to take full advantage of the capabilities of GeForce RTX graphics. It should be noted that the panel is validated by Pantone so it can be used for content creation work.

This laptop, like its predecessors, can be powered by a USB Type-C port, and a 65W power adapter much smaller than that required for heavy tasks could be used, as long as we are going to use the laptop for normal jobs and need the charger does not take up too much space. No price or availability has been announced for the ROG Zephyrus S GX701, but we hope to find it soon on the market.
