ASUS has released several laptops lately, with the Zephyrus M, Zephyrus S and Strix Scar among others, and it doesn't end here: the brand also wants to get closer to the entry-level and mid-range with its new TUF FX505 and FX705 laptops. Let's get to know them!

ASUS TUF FX505 and FX705, their latest gaming laptops

Presented at Gamescom 2018, these laptops will feature a base option with a 4-core Intel Coffee Lake-H processor (i5-8300H) and a GTX 1050 graphics card with 4GB of VRAM.

ASUS FX505

The FX505 model corresponds to a 15.6-inch screen, while the FX705 has 17.3 inches, being in both cases low-mid-range IPS panels, where there will be a configuration with a refresh rate of 60Hz and another that will reach 144 hertz., for the most demanding players.

In addition to this base configuration, there will be models that will arrive with a 4GB GTX 1050 Ti or 6GB GTX 1060 graphics card, and with a 6-core, 12-wire Intel Coffee Lake-H processor.

RAM will reach 32GB at the highest option. Regarding storage, there will be two configurations: one will include a 128, 256 or 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD and a 2.5-inch 1TB capacity HDD, and another will make use of a hybrid HDD (SSHD).

We now talk about the connectivity of the new range of notebooks. We will have an HDMI 2.0 video output, two USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen1) and 1 USB 2.0 type A, and we are missing USB 3.1 Gen2 connections. Networking possibilities include Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi ac and LAN. We finish with the battery, which is 48Wh in the 15.6-inch FX505 and 64Wh in the 17.3-inch FX705, which in the case of a gaming laptop will not be especially durable.

We do not know the exact price and availability of all models, although we know that of the base configurations. The FX505 will start at 949 euros, and the FX705 at 999 euros.
