Table of contents:
Bayonetta 2 is one of the best video games that have been created and a great pride of the Nintenderos, this title came out exclusively for the WiiU and has now been porting to the Nintendo Switch. Digital Foundry has done a deep technical analysis that shows some shortcomings of this port.
Bayonetta 2 review on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch is more powerful than WiiU so it was expected that Bayonetta 2 could reach 1080p resolution on the Japanese company's new console. Nothing is further from reality, the game is satisfied with a resolution of 1, 280 x 720 pixels in both dock and portable mode. Fortunately, the image quality of Bayonetta 2 is somewhat superior, especially in shadows, textures and more vivid colors.

Once the resolution is seen, it is time to talk about the framerate and here the console does not come out very well either, since the game does not manage to maintain the 60 FPS in a stable way, neither in the dock mode, much less in the portable mode. Bayonetta 2 suffers drops to 50 FPS at peak graphics times, something that can harm the experience in a game like this.
The dock mode offers superior performance to the portable mode, something logical given that the resolution is the same in both and when running on battery the console reduces its power. In any case, a 720p experience is far from being the ideal one in 2018.
