Be quiet! silent wings 3 now available

The German firm be quiet! has announced the availability of its new third-generation Silent Wings 3 high-end fans that have been designed with the most advanced technologies to offer very quiet operation and great performance.

Silent Wings 3: characteristics of the new high-end fans

The new Silent Wings 3 are available in 120mm and 140mm variants to suit the needs of all users, all with standard and high spin speeds and with / without PWM speed control.

Depending on the dimensions and speed of rotation, users can choose the version that best suits their needs for silence, air flow and aesthetic pressure. To get an idea, the 120mm model offers a loudness of 16.4 dBa while the 140mm unit produces a noise of only 15.5 dBa. To achieve their high performance, Silent Wings 3 use the least technologies such as a new design of the blades that manages to move more air flow, a rubberized frame to absorb vibrations and new bearings. Its frames mount modular corners that are responsible for absorbing the vibrations generated during the operation of the fan.

Thanks to their characteristics, Silent Wings 3 are ideal for installation in CPU coolers, radiators and the equipment's own chassis. These new fans have an estimated lifespan of over 300, 000 hours. The 120 mm model is priced at 22.50 euros and the 140 mm model 23.50 euros.
