Learn how to boot the motherboard without a tower

Many motherboards include buttons to turn on and restart the computer without the need to have it mounted on a chassis, but these motherboards are a minority, so most users will have to resort to a really very simple trick. The power button on the chassis of a PC, all it does is close a circuit on the motherboard so that the power passes and the PC boots. This means that we can bypass the motherboard directly to boot the computer.

In all the motherboards there are two pins identified as "PWR", these two are the ones that need to be jumpered (do it briefly) to start the computer, something that as we have said above is done from the power button of the tower. If we do not have the computer mounted on a tower, we can use a clip or a screwdriver to help us bypass these two pins.

The only thing we have to do is use the clip to make contact between the two pins, with this the computer will start immediately as if we had pressed the button on the tower.
