Last September, the Cupertino-based company introduced and launched the new generation of its smart watch. This new Apple Watch Series 4 (the fifth generation actually) has stood out especially for its new design, somewhat thinner and with a larger screen, however, these are not its only novelties. The haptic feedback of the Digital Crown is another one, a feature that you can disable if you wish.

Digital Crown without haptic effect on Apple Watch Series 4

Thanks to this haptic effect, every time you use the Digital Crown, either to open an application, or to scroll up or down, you will receive its effects on your wrist. When it comes to something new, you should get used to it. On the contrary, if you do not like it or simply think you do not need this function at all, you can also deactivate it very quickly and easily.

To deactivate the haptic effect of the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch Series 4 you can follow any of the two methods that I show you below, either from the watch itself or through the Watch app on your iPhone. Let's see:

  1. On the iPhone, open the Clock app. Scroll down the main screen until you find the option for haptic sounds and effects. Tap on that option, then move the switch next to this feature to its Off or Off position.

From that moment on , you will no longer feel that haptic effect on your wrist when you use the Digital Crown. Remember that this function is only included in the Apple Watch Series 4.
