Windows 10 has several features that make multitasking and working with multiple windows open at the same time easy.

In this tutorial we are going to introduce you to some of the best ways to work with multiple windows on a Windows 10 laptop or PC.

Adjust windows

The Snap / Fit function will allow you to automatically reset a window, very convenient when you want to see two windows next to each other. To do this, simply click and drag the desired window to the left or right until the cursor reaches the edge of the screen. Then you must release the mouse and the window will adjust. To "unfit" a window, simply click on its edge and drag it again.

Easily switch windows

You can use the Flip function to switch between multiple windows. To do this, you must press the Alt + Tab keys on your keyboard. Keep pressing the Tab key until the desired window is selected.

Task view

The task view is similar to the previous function, although its operation is somewhat different. To open the task view, press Windows + Tab on your keyboard. This way you will see all the open windows and you can click on the one you want.

Virtual desktops

Instead of keeping everything open on the same desktop, you can move some of the windows to a virtual desktop. This function was not available in the previous versions of Windows, but it is very useful to handle many windows at the same time. To create a new desktop, open the task view, and then select New desktop.

After you've created multiple desktops, you can use the task view to switch between them. You can also move windows between desktops. To do this, open the task view, and then click on a window and drag it to the desired desktop.

To close a virtual desktop, open the task view and click on the X at the top right of any desktop you want to close.
