A new vulnerability appears in Intel's processors, and that's not news. It is called CacheOut and this time it affects data leakage through the cache.

CPU Affected and Patch

Obviously Intel has already gotten to work and has provided an update to its micro code to patch CacheOut. The blue giant recommends operating system vendors to do the same at the software level to shield this gap.

Among the affected CPUs is a fairly broad list, including current architecture processors from SkyLake to 10th generation Amber Lake Ys. Xeons from previous generations and processors with pre-Sandy bridge architectures are excluded.

Incidentally, none of AMD's processors have been affected by CacheOut.
