Change OK Google for another name
Until not too long ago, it was possible to change "OK Google" to "OK Jarvis" using the odd trick with third-party applications. However this is no longer possible and currently we can only go to the wizard with the commands "OK Google" and "Hey Google".
However, some data miners (users who browse the base code of programs and games) of the web 5 to Google have found signs in the Google Play Store that this may change in the future given that in the source code there are samples that imply that the call command may be modified. For those readers who speak English, here is the link to the original source.
Change voice to Google Assistant
We bring bad and good news in this section, although it seems to be only a matter of time that they are all good, we tell you.
Currently only one voice is available in Spanish for Google Assistant. This was true in all languages until not long ago but recently they have added six possible variations in English so that the user can customize it according to their tastes.
This obviously generates positive expectations for the other languages, especially Spanish because it is so widely spoken internationally. For those impatient who already want to try it even in English, you have two options:
- Add English as a second language. Change the wizard's base language to English.
To make these changes, in the Google application we must click on More in the lower menu <Settings <Google Assistant <Assistant <Languages <Change language / Add language.
Unfortunately there is no official release date for voice alternatives in other languages, but it is predictable to assume that it will be a matter of time.
Change your nickname in Google Assistant
Finally something we can do. When we install our Google Assistant, it recognizes us by our name or the alias that we have provided in the beginning. However, we can also change it later if we want to. There are two aspects to keep in mind:
- The name by which Google calls you does not have to be that of your account. We must have an alias in the Google Home Application. We must configure Google Voice Match to recognize our voice and call us by our alias.
With that said, let's go step by step. To change or establish our alias, we must open Google Home <Account (lower menu, right icon) <Settings <Name. Here we write what we want the assistant to call us.
Having done the above, we must activate the Voice Match so that it can recognize our voice and associate it with our name. We will go to Google Home <Account (lower menu, right icon) <Settings <Assistant <Voice Match. We follow all the steps and we will have completed the process.
This item is subject to change. If an update occurs in the wizard's voices or the call, we will proceed to update it.It may interest you
